The day is finally here and in just a couple of hours we will be kicking off the Family Reunion!!

Here’s some important information we wanted to pass on to you so you’ll be more better prepared.

Bring Your Printed Map With Directions!

Though we’ve all fallen in love with our smart phones and use them for everything, this drive is one where smart phones will fail!! Don’t get lost like I did yesterday!

We strongly urge you to print out the driving directions here: https://www.losnietosdedonchon.com/reunion-2019/directions/ and take the print out with you. There will be times when GPS will not connect and you may end up driving blind, hoping you’re still going in the right direction. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya!

What to Bring

Don’t forget to bring as towels well as bedding – sheets/sleeping bags and pillows. And if you have not signed up for the bedding package where the camp supplies the bedding, but now think you should have, please let us know so we can get you covered (no pun intended!!)

What to Expect Upon Arrival

Lot’s of walking to your cabins!

I took a tour of the grounds yesterday to get a lay of the land, and there will be quite a hike to the cabins from the parking lot. Please be prepared for that.

We’ve received approval from the camp to load the luggage and transport the luggage by one car into the camp, a little trolley service, but even so, there will still be lots of area the car can’t drive through.

So please bring bags with wheels or little trolleys to help you transport. We’ll attempt to get everyone settled as comfortably as possible and are working on a team of young, able bodied Vasquezes to assist as bellhops!!

Our meeting room is near the entrance and we will post signs to it. Please check in there first to get your info pack and maps!

Pool Temperature

Auntie Yolie rightly thought everyone would like to know that Camp Campbell’s pool is heated!! Yay! It’s going to be delicious fun, and again, don’t forget to bring your pool towels!!

Camp Sharing

And just a reminder that we will be sharing the camp with about 20 Girl Scouts. Our activities will be happening during different times and at different locations, but we will be sharing meal times with them. So just a reminder to be courteous and friendly!
